A pre-nuptial agreement is a contract based agreement between two parties intending to marry whereby they pre-configure that in the event of certain conditions (divorce, etc…..) how a division of property or other such allocations occur. This contracting takes place to circumvent the “boilerplate” laws enacted that divide property in the event of divorce.
